First aid knows no language.

Only Kristina woke up to run with Connor and I this morning because the other two nurses had been woken up last night to help the night guard who had vomited and fainted (he's since recovered).

We then saw patients for 5 hours after breakfast. I alternate between following the Biku, the dresser and the nurses. Someone came in with a huge scalp laceration. He had been drunk and fell off his bed. I would've expected him to be brought to the hosptial, but instead, he slept off his hangover and was brought in the next day. It's a big change from Cornell EMS, where at least a quarter of my patients were drunk when.

The nurses were teaching first aid at the school at 2 so we all went over at 230 to help and watch. With Manu and Biku translating, we took them through basic first aid and practiced splinting and movements with the 5th graders. They all seemed to have a great time and the nurses are going to lead another class for older students tomorrow. Connor and I trying to show the girl students anything seems to make them very uncomfortable so we stuck to helping the guys and left the girls to the nurses. Manu says it's completely fine for us to help both genders but there's definitely a barrier there.

We got back around 4 which was perfect time to meet the 2-hr-late surgeon. There were two hydrocele cases and one anal fistula surgery. The anesthesiologist who came today was much better than the last one who was here. This one actually stood by the patient and took frequent vital sign readings. Although the only thing he had to do to be better than the last one was stay awake for the operation.

Our friends are preparing another feast for us tonight in the school courtyard.
As much as I'm looking forward to it, it would be nice to eat before 11.
